Ms. Coppola's love for creativity and inspiring young minds, led her to co-create with her partners an IP - NEW-GEN...New Generation. This became a true labor of love, and a new world was created, a utopia, where people and creatures live in harmony. Characters were born, families, heroes and more. Two worlds were brought to life in comic books that were realistic and futuristic! Superpowers were based on the science of nanotechnology! Series 1 through 6 NEW-GEN and the origin series NEW-GEN: DAWN was edited by Ms. Coppola and was printed and distributed by MARVEL.
Ms. Coppola was attracted to the entertainment industry where she has worked for 20+ years in various positions. Ms. Coppola served as Chairman and financing partner to a former independent distribution company Gabriel Film Group. Ms. Coppola’s responsibilities included marketing and publicity oversight on such films as THE SIMIAN LINE (Harry Connick Jr., Lynn Redgrave, William Hurt, Jamey Sheridan) and the multiple-award winning Bobby G. Can’t Swim. As executive producer of BOBBY G. CAN’T SWIM, Ms. Coppola mounted the campaign for director John-Luke Montias that led to nominations at Hamptons International Film Festival, Torino International Festival of Young Cinema and won such festivals as Best New Director and New Directions Award at AFI Fest and the Grand Jury Award at Florida Film Festival. Ms. Coppola executive produced the documentary MONEY DRIVEN MEDICINE, which screened across the country, including a special screening for members of Congress at the U.S. Capitol.
As a former educator Ms. Coppola taught science and biology in public schools. Following accreditation she established unique science curriculum's for children with special needs in private schools. An interactive and hands on approach to learning was very successful and it enhanced their learning and creativity!
Ms. Coppola worked closely with Jeff Gomez, a transmedia expert, and the Starlight Runner Team in the creation of the NEW-GEN UNIVERSE STORY BIBLE which established a rich new franchisable Universe!!
To further enlighten and educate all children Ms. Coppola is establishing a NEW-GEN "In School Program" across the United States. NEW-GEN is soon to become an Animated TV Series with its Mission to bring hope to new generations and Ms. Coppola will serve as an Executive Producer on the exciting series!
Ms. Coppola is recognized in "Marquis Who's Who," an organization that has existed since 1898 and contains biographies of persons of notable achievements. Ms. Coppola is a member of NY Women in Film and Television. She is an active member of American Association of University Women (AAUW). This non-profit organization advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education and research. Coppola received a BA from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Biology and Secondary Education.
